The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS Series returned to action for Round 7 at Cache Valley MX Park in Preston, Idaho, and the Dynamite Grand Prix delivered one of the most unique and action-packed weekends of the season. With five racing organizations combining for one massive weekend of competition, Cache Valley saw an incredible turnout of racers from across the West. The result was some of the closest, most aggressive bar-to-bar racing we have seen in a very long time, with packed gates, tight racing and battles that continued all the way to the checkered flag. The Cache Valley MX course provided the perfect setting for the action. The GP layout mixed traditional motocross terrain with sections cut directly through the surrounding cornfields. The narrow, winding lanes created limited passing opportunities and forced riders to search for every possible advantage. In many sections, the fastest lines were so tight that riders were brushing corn stalks with both sides of their handlebars.  

The 140. PRO class delivered a race that will be remembered for a long time, with Mason Semmens putting together a dominant performance to take the Round 7 victory. Semmens grabbed the holeshot and immediately settled into the lead, putting his head down and clicking off consistent laps. Behind him, Dante Oliveira refused to let the KTM rider get comfortable, keeping the pressure on for the entire 90-minute race.The two riders separated themselves from the field while battling through the dramatically different sections of the Cache Valley course. Semmens was able to create some distance through the motocross portions, while Oliveira continually clawed time back once the course headed into the tighter off-road sections. In the end, Semmens held strong to take the win by just under 12 seconds over Oliveira. 

Dare DeMartile rounded out the Pro podium after fighting his way forward throughout the race. After a difficult opening lap, DeMartile worked through the field and eventually caught Justin Hoeft, making the decisive pass on the final lap to secure third. Hoeft finished fourth, followed by Tyler Lynn in fifth. Henry Millecam finished sixth, with Clayton Gerstner, Tristun Alvarez, Mateo Oliveira, and Nolan Cate completing the top 10.

 

For the WORCS championship, the result was especially important for Semmens. Already sitting at the front of the 450 Pro points battle, the Round 7 victory gives him valuable momentum heading into the final rounds of the season.

The Pro 250 class was another highlight of the weekend, with Sam Pretscherer battling his way to the top step of the podium. Pretscherer didn’t get the start he wanted and found himself working through traffic during the opening laps. Once he reached the front of the field, however, he had to deal with an aggressive challenge from Idaho’s Evan Stice. Stice proved to be one of the toughest competitors of the day, holding the lead for nearly half the race and forcing Pretscherer to work for every opportunity. The two riders battled through the tight Cache Valley course before Pretscherer finally found a way around. Once in front, Pretscherer was able to maintain control and bring home the Pro 250 victory.

Stice finished second, with Cole Zeller taking third. Zeller entered the weekend coming off a Round 6 victory and once again showed the speed to run at the front of the class.  

The Women’s Pro class added another exciting chapter to the weekend, with Lauren Woods putting together a strong ride to claim the Round 7 victory. Woods led the way aboard her GASGAS, with Ashlee Gage finishing second and Dana Raynor taking third. Addison Nichols earned fourth, while Rachel Burton rounded out the top five.

Round 7 at Cache Valley MX Park was everything a WORCS weekend should be: big fields, unpredictable racing and riders fighting for every position. The combination of five racing organizations brought an enormous number of competitors to Idaho, with several classes seeing more than 40 riders line up behind the gates. The unique Cache Valley terrain only added to the intensity. With fast motocross sections giving riders room to stretch their legs and narrow cornfield sections making passing difficult, every lap presented a different challenge. For the WORCS competitors, Round 7 was a critical stop in the championship battle. With only a few rounds remaining, every position and every point matters—and if the racing at Cache Valley was any indication, the final rounds of the 2026 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS Series are going to be anything but predictable.

The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS Racing Series will now head to Delta, Utah, for the next round of racing. The event will be a combined race weekend featuring WORCS, RMX, and the other participating organizations, but will not include NGPC. With championship points continuing to tighten, racers will look to carry the momentum from Round 7 into what is sure to be another action-packed weekend in Utah.
