TYLER LYNN PUTS SLR HONDA ON TOP AT TWENTYNINE PALMS
The 2025 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS Series wrapped up in style this past weekend at the all-new Twentynine Palms Motorsports Complex, where four championships were decided to close out an incredible season of off-road racing. The new venue had everything — a motocross section filled with deep ruts and massive jumps, leading into a fast and flowy off-road loop stretching just over eight miles. Sunday’s Pro Race introduced a brutal new Pro Section, featuring steep ridge climbs and rocky descents that tested the riders’ skill and endurance, offering plenty of opportunities for positions to be won or lost. The weekend also saw the 250 Pro Championship already locked up by Mason Semmens in Mesquite, while new champions were crowned across multiple classes including 450 Pro, Pro-Am, 125 Pro, and Women’s Pro.

In 450 Pro, making his highly anticipated 450 Pro debut, Mason Semmens (FMF RPM KTM) wasted no time proving that he belongs in the premier class. Off the dead-engine start, Semmens launched out front to grab the holeshot, leading the pack into the desert portion before entering the Pro Section. However, it was Dare Demartile (LiquiMoly Beta USA) who picked the perfect line through the hills and rock-laden terrain, charging from mid-pack to the front and taking control of the race early. Behind him, KTM Factory Racing’s Mateo Oliveira held second while SLR Honda’s Tyler Lynn and Semmens both suffered minor issues in the opening lap but quickly remounted and charged back toward the front.
As the race settled in, lap times stayed consistent around the 11-minute mark, with Lynn setting the fastest lap of the race at 10:39 during Lap 9. On Lap 7, Demartile had a small mistake that allowed a hard-charging Lynn and Semmens to move into first and second, respectively, while Oliveira maintained fourth. Carter Klein rounded out the top five aboard his Honda. Lynn went on to take the win for the round, but it was Demartile who clinched his second consecutive 450 Pro Championship, capping off another impressive season. With a newly announced AMA Regional Championship on the horizon, Demartile is already looking ahead to defending his title in 2026.

In the Pro 250 class, Noah Gordon looked to continue the momentum of his teammate Mason Semmens’ championship-winning season for RPM FMF KTM. The race began with Cody Simpson grabbing the early lead, showing serious speed through the off-road sections before an incident forced him out of the race early. From there, the battle of the day became a back-and-forth duel between Gordon and Jake Alvarez (Kawasaki).

The two traded positions multiple times throughout the race, keeping the crowd on edge as they charged through the long desert sections and back into the motocross track. Lap after lap, Gordon and Alvarez remained within seconds of each other. On the final lap, Gordon made a quick pit stop as Alvarez closed in fast, the two racing nearly side by side down the final straight. In a nail-biting finish, Gordon edged Alvarez by just one second at the line to claim the victory. Dustyn Davis, also from Oak Hills, rounded out the podium with a consistent performance, followed by Lyndon Snodgrass in fourth and Tristun Alvarez in fifth.

The Pro-Am class faced arguably the toughest Pro Section of the entire year — a challenge that caused major position swaps throughout the race. Line choice proved critical, and while chaos unfolded behind him, one rider remained dominant all day long. Racer Fry put on a masterclass performance, extending his lead lap after lap to secure a massive victory and clinch his first WORCS Pro Championship.

Behind Fry, positions shuffled almost every lap, but as the checkered flag waved, it was Kody Moore and Gavin Dugan who rounded out the podium, followed by Tucker Talbot and Teagen Whalen in the top five. The Pro-Am field has shown incredible growth this season and looks poised to be even stronger in 2026. Saturday’s racing action saw several championships come to a close as well. Tristun Alvarez wrapped up his third consecutive 125 Pro Championship, later announcing his plans to move up full-time to the 250 Pro class for 2026. In the Women’s Pro division, it was an emotional moment as Lauren Woods clinched her first-ever WORCS Championship after nine years of dedication to the series — a truly inspiring way to close out the 2025 season.
