SCHENDEL AND JUDGE WRAP UP SXS FINALE AT TWENTYNINE PALMS
The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS Series made its debut at the Twentynine Palms Motorsports Complex for the season finale — and for the first time ever, racers took to this brand-new Southern California course. The facility offered a fresh challenge for everyone, featuring a mix of high-speed desert terrain, deep sand washes, and flowing corners that tested both driver skill and machine endurance. With the SXS classes marking their final year of competition under the WORCS banner, the atmosphere was electric as racers and fans gathered to make history at this new venue.

Saturday’s Pro Production main event was all about consistency, skill, and composure — traits that Beau Judge has embodied all season long. The factory Can-Am driver once again delivered a flawless performance, claiming the win and securing a perfect season, officially adding another WORCS championship to his already decorated career. Fellow WORCS legend Beau Baron joined the SXS lineup for the finale, bringing out his Polaris to mix it up with the field. Despite juggling a packed weekend of racing — competing on a bike, ATV, and SXS — Baron still managed to land on the podium with an impressive second-place finish.

Karsen Sandberg got things rolling with a textbook holeshot in his Pro Stock Polaris RS1, showing just how capable the RS1 platform can be in the premier class. Sandberg maintained a strong pace through the race and wrapped up the day on the box in third. Shelby Leaverton, representing Walker Evans Racing, crossed the line in fourth, followed by Trevor Lee and Paxton Schendel, who rounded out the class.
Sunday’s Pro Stock showdown brought its own fireworks, as Paxton Schendel rolled out a freshly built Polaris RS1 and immediately made his presence known. Schendel charged hard from the start, setting the pace and never looking back, taking the checkers in dominating fashion to earn his first professional WORCS championship. Trevor Lee rode smart and consistent all race long to finish second, capping off a strong season, while Karsen Sandberg battled up front early before suffering transmission issues that forced him to retire early.

Schendel’s victory not only secured him the win but also marked the rise of a new talent in the sport, ending the SXS chapter of WORCS racing on a high note.
