JUDGE AND MARQUEZ LOCK IN 2024 CHAMPIONSHIPS IN DOUBLEHEADER!

After a weekend filled with MC and ATV action, the SXS take the main stage at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS series finale in Lake Havasu—a double-round finale with all classes racing on Saturday and Sunday on quite the demanding track. Beau Judge showcased just how versatile Can-Am was as he won both days in the Pro Production class, and a grueling battle allowed Paxton Schendel and Newcomer Trevor Lee to win one round each in the Pro Stock Class.

On Saturday in Pro Production, the Judge family looked unstoppable as the race began. They ran 1-2 with little opposition from the rest on their starting line. Schendel had other plans, starting from the second row, which was on fire as he had clean air for most of the race and showed just what that could do, slowly taking seconds off the lead and reeling them in on corrected time. Braden Judge faced a few mechanical issues late in the race, forcing him to nurse the car a bit, especially with another race coming up the day after; this allowed Schendel to pass him physically and on corrected time with a lap to go. Schendel finished just 13 seconds behind Beau on corrected time, as the young guns look bright headed into the 2025 season.

Sunday’s race saw Braden Judge and Beau Baron have to pull off early with mechanical issues, and Beau Judge had clean air from the start, allowing his car to hit every mark he needed, ringing in a sweep for the weekend and the championship. Karsen Sandberg put his RS1 to the test as he was on the move from the beginning, slowly chipping away at the lead from the second row but just a bit off as time expired.

Pro Stock on Saturday began with Schendel in his RS1 leading the way, with Sandberg and Sebastian Marquez just a few seconds behind as they battled heavily in the starting laps. Schendel. He was on the gas as he put down the fastest lap of the race on lap 2 with a time of 4:52 and held that lead from start to finish to win on Saturday, with Sandberg and Marquez rounding out the podium. With his 3rd place finish, it allowed Marquez also to lock in the Pro Stock Championship.

After wrapping up the championship in Youth 1000, Trevor Lee moved up to put his talents in the pro stock class and join the rest of the field. It was a rocky start as Lee and Sandberg had contact leading into the first turn, which caused him to land on his side. Spectators and track crew got him on his wheels quickly as he set out on his first lap. Not long after, Sandberg lost a tire, which ended his day early, moving Lee up another spot.  Schendel had a healthy lead after the Sandberg crash, and another Marquez collision had him on cruise control. A slight mistake caused his day to end early as well, and he broke the front end. In the end, Trevor Lee, in his first pro stock race, was able to claim victory with Marquez in second and Schendel in third.

Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS wants to thank all of the volunteers, racers, and track crew for another awesome weekend of racing in Lake Havasu. The banquet and award ceremony for the 2024 season will be held at Tuscany Suites and Casino on December 7th!
