DEMARTILE WINS IN HOMETOWN BATTLE AT E STREET MX
Pack the bags and head north to E Street MX in Marysville, California, for the 3rd installment of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS Series. Beautiful weather and a new track to the series brought fresh air to the racing scene this weekend, with some fantastic races. A 7-mile course with terrains ranging from single track through the trees to riding on top of river rock and a pristine MX track that was prepped by the excellent track staff on hand. Dare Demartile wins at his hometown race with friends and family all showing up to support. Mason Semmens brings home another win in Pro 250, with Jackson Glathar regaining the top spot in Pro-Am.

Ten riders lined up for the 450 Pro race, with some local talent coming out to compete against the best in off-road racing. Dare Demartile, also at his hometown track, showcased how comfortable he felt as he shot out of the gate early, grabbing the holeshot and never looking back. He set the fastest lap time of the day on his Beta USA in lap 2 with a blistering time of 10:50, seven seconds faster than anyone else on the track. He continued with that pace for most of the race, allowing himself to build a lead that extended to thirty seconds at one point. SLR Honda rider Cole Martinez returned to WORCS racing and made it count as he settled in behind Demartile early and kept that position from start to finish. In third place, Justin Hoeft and Trevor Stewart battled for third, riding for Purvines Racing Yamaha. Stewart was in third after making a pass on Tyler Lynn in the second lap and kept that for the first half of the race. Hoeft started in 5th, and each lap knocked seconds off his pace till he put his fastest lap during lap six, also making the pass on his teammate for his 3rd place finish. Purvines Racing rounded out the top 5, with Stewart and Jack Simpson finishing behind Hoeft.

In 250 Pro, Mason Semmens, riding on his RPM FMF KTM machine, was on fire this weekend as he made a pass in just the second lap for the lead and put quite a distance between himself and his competition. His fastest lap was clocked at 11:03, almost 15 seconds ahead of Cole Zeller, whose fastest lap was 11:17. With his first podium of the season, Zeller excelled at this track, holding onto second place for the entire race after narrowly grabbing the holeshot ahead of Kai Aiello. This Pro 250 class will be the class to watch this season, as the top 5 in points all have the speed and skill to disrupt the flow and win easily. Battles once again brewed for the third position, with four different riders holding this spot at some point in the race. On his 3 Bros Husqvarna, Kai Aiello held onto it for more than half the race as Jake Alvarez would battle hard, swapping positions before making it stick during lap six and pulling ahead of Aiello. It all came down to the final lap when Alvarez made a mistake that caused him to drop from 3 to 5 in a heartbreaking loss. Colton Aeck saw an opportunity as he pushed his Hatch Racing Kawasaki machine to his fastest lap, made it from 5th to third, grabbed his second straight podium of the season, and took the points lead heading into Lake Havasu next month. Aiello finished in 4th as Alvarez rounded out the top 5.
Jackson Glathar rebounded from a rough round at Glen Helen to land himself back on top of the box in 1st place, regaining the points lead from competitor Keegan Hardy after he finished in 5th place. He led from start to finish, finishing just under 3 minutes ahead of Kayden Lynn after an intense race. Lynn gets on the box for the first time this season, fighting from a midpack start and landing in that second spot by the 5th lap, holding off a charging Bryce Sumrall. After coming around the first lap and being buried in 8th place, Sumrall showcased the hometown advantage, gaining three positions in the second lap and catching Hayden Florez, a fierce competitor, by the 7th. He finished just 20 seconds behind Lynn, grabbing the final spot on the podium. Hayden Florez and Keegan Hardy finished in the top 5.

Ryan Surratt won his second FMF 125 Pro race in a row, beating out the 2023 champion Tristun Alvarez and Travis Damon as the 2-smokers rang out early Saturday morning. The Entries have been increasing each round, and it’s been a great class to watch succeed each round. And, aboard her SLR Honda rocket, Mikayla Nielsen coasted to a victory against Katelyn Jacobs, who is coming off a hard crash at Glen Helen. This was the first real test, but she finished and is ready for more.
