SPETEMBER 30, 2022 – PRESTON, ID – Β Emmy Engle has had a Cinderella season coming into round 7 and 8 in Preston ID. She won 5 of the 6 rounds in 50cc class and 5 of the 6 rounds in 50cc open class. Plus is in the title hunt in her RZR170. The trip to Preston was about 14 hours so no practice time, but that did not stop Emmy Engle.

She started Saturday am with round 8 and a 3rd place finish in her RZR170. Then quickly changed into her quad racing gear and barely made it to the starting line. The green flag dropped and her DRR50 jumped into the lead and got the hole shot. Emmy rode a smart race and maintained a nice gap to win wire to wire. Then she prepped for her 50cc open race. Once again Emmy rode smart and flawless to bring home another 1st place finish. Now it was on to round 8 on Sunday. Emmy knew with another day like yesterday she could wrap up the 50cc and 50cc open championship. So she was focused to do what she did in Las Vegas earlier this season …. To hat trick and win all 3 classes.

The start of her RZR was bad! She got spun out on the start but that did not stop her! She battled all the way back to the lead and pulled away winning the limited stock RZR race. Like a fire drill Emmy Engle quickly changed into her quad race gear and pulled up on the line just in time for the start. Her start was good but not the hole shot. She stayed calm and by the end of the 1st lap Emmy was in that #1 spot and help on for the entire moto winning and on her way to that ever so hard to do hat trick. Now it was back to the line for the 50cc open race.

Emmy was determined to win but stayed calm. The 50’s shot off into the 1st turn and off into the corn. Once again Emmy came around on the 1st lap with the lead. Emmy would hold that lead for the entire race winning and winning all 3 classes she raced in round 8. These wins locked up the 50cc and 50cc open championships for Emmy Engle with 7 round wins out of 8 rounds. Also the win in her RZR put her into 2nd place in the championship for the limited stock RZR class ….. can Emmy Engle win 3 championships this year???? Stay tuned!
