The sixth round of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Series headed to the beautiful state of Utah for an incredible race through the trees at Three Peaks Oasis in Cedar City. The Pro Stock class would race on Saturday, while the Pro Production class would line up for Sunday’s weekend finale. The WORCS crew designed an excellent course about five miles long and weaved in and out of trees with almost 200 turns on the course. Beau Baron would have quite the weekend, winning his ATV Pro race earlier in the day and then winning the Pro Production class in/his Polaris RZR. In Pro Stock, Casey Sims would bring home his first win of the season in the new car as he battles from the second row.

The Pro Stock class would round out day one of racing and would be a great race down to the finish. Trey Eggleston would take the holeshot in front of some stiff competition like Brayden Baker, Chris Johnson, and more. Meanwhile on the second row, Cayden MacCachren would grab the holeshot in front of Casey Sims and would begin to check out before having a bit of a mishap and would end up going for a ride which would allow Sims to take the lead and have some open air for quite some time.

Eggleston and Baker would battle hard for the entire race while Baker could not make a pass stick allowing Eggleston to stay in front for the race. Baker would lose his brakes throughout the race, which caused him to lose valuable time since this race track was fast and quite technical, so those breaks were definitely needed. As the top two from the front would continue battling, Sims found himself almost by himself, allowing him to run fast, smooth laps and chip away at the lead on corrected time. As the race came to a close, Sims found himself out in front with the fastest lap time and continued to push hard until the checkered flag flew.

On Sunday’s Pro Production race, we would have quite the race with lead changes coming all the way up to the final lap. Beau Judge would grab the holeshot in the first line, and in the second line, Beau Baron and Shawn Saxton Would battle hard, but Baron would barely come out ahead thru the first turn.

Judge would be in his own world after Wagner and Cox suffered from mechanical issues in the race and would get into a smooth pace. Baron and Saxton would be right on each other’s tail the entire race pushing each other for faster lap times. Towards the end of the race, it would show Baron making the pass on Judge in corrected time and Saxton only a few seconds behind in third. On the final lap, Judge would overdrive as he says a few times were causing him to make a few mistakes, allowing Saxton to slide in just barely to second place, pushing the points leader in Judge to third place.

Thanks to all the racers who made the trek to Cedar City for another great weekend of racing. We hope everyone has a great summer break, and we will see you in Preston, Idaho, at Cache Valley MX for a double round on September 9th-11th.
