Robby Bell Takes Season Finale Win

Primn, NV – Precision Concept’s Robby Bell finished off the 2015 2015 Rocky Mountain MC World Off-Road Championship Series presented by Maxxis and Dirt Bike season on the highest note possible, winning at the WORCS season finale at Buffalo Bill’s Casino. KTM’s Gary Sutherland finished in the second spot followed by Justin Seeds.

Robby Bell grabbed a thrilling holeshot followed by his teammate, Justin Seeds, but Hinson / Honda’s Justin Jones quickly charged past the two and into the lead early in the race.  Bell was able to remount a charge and retook the lead when Jones made a pit stop, and this time he held the lead to the checkered flag for the win.

Gary Sutherland charged at the end. He was gaining on Bell through the late stages of the race, but just ran short of time, and finished second in the race and the 2015 title chase.

Justin Seeds earned his second WORCS podium finish of the season with his third-place effort. Interestingly, his first podium came at the same venue, in February.

RPM / KTM’s Travis Coy’s fourth-place finish moved him into the top three in the WORCS Pro Championships points in his rookie year, which was big accomplishment for the 2014 Pro 2 Champion.

In Pro 2 class, Dalton Shirey grabbed the holeshot and ran off with the win, handing him third place in the championship. Shirey plans to step up to the Pro Class next year.  Michael Del Fante and Travis Damon rounded out the top three.

“I had an arm pump in the middle of the race, but once that went I away I was just charging,” said Shirey. “I just felt like I could do no wrong. It’s pretty exciting to finish the season this way. This was a perfect race.”

In Pro 2 Lites class, Logan Chambers won the race and the championship, and Thor Amador and Mitch Anderson rounded out the top three at the season finale.

“I had to fight through some issues this year. I’m just happy to come out of here with the win and the championship. We’re still looking at what to do next year. Next year, we’ll come out flying, no matter what,” said Chambers.

The 2015 Rocky Mountain MC World Off-Road Championship Series presented by Maxxis and Dirt Bike proved to be another exciting season of racing, and the 2016 WORCS season is just around the corner with the season opener set for January 15-17th at Honolulu Hills in Taft, California.
