Glen Helen Pro-Am & Amateur ATV Report

DEVORE, CA – The 2012 WORCS ATV Racing season kicked off on January 21-22nd at Glen Helen, and once again the Pro-Am class was stacked with all top contenders from 2011 returning in hopes of dethroning the reigning Pro-Am champion, #1r Collins Webster.

#842 D.j. Noerr grabbed the Pro-Am Holeshot, but his lead would only last one lap with #1p Keith Johnson taking over the lead in lap two, and Johnson would go on unchallenged to the checkered flag for the Pro-Am class win

#1r Collins Webster recorded the fastest Pro-Am lap-time of the race with a time of 07:42.971 in lap ten as he charged his way into theΒ second spot behind Johnson

#1p Keith Johnson secured the top spot on the Pro-Am Podium followed by #1r Collins Webster & #96 Dave Larochelle

Canada’s #96 Dave Larochelle made an impressive WORCS racing debut on his Motoworks / Can-Am DS450 ATV as he secured the Production A Class Win along with a Pro-Am Podium finish

Can-Am mounted #68 Travis Brown lead the charge in the Open A Class for the Win

In the 40+ A Class, #62 Pete GarciaΒ edged out #104 Tim GillespieΒ for the win with less than a minute to spare

Utah’s #99y Zach Carle secured the 12-15 Prod Sport Win on his Yamaha Raptor 250

Washington’s #222y Missy Taylor ran away with the 70 SS Sport Win on her Cobra

#224y Kyler Thau lapped the field with his Apex to secure the easy win in the 70 Open Class
