Ivan Ramirez took the trophy in the Pro 2 class with Luke Reynolds finishing second and Ian Blythe rounding out the podium. Justin Seeds extended his points lead by finishing fourth and taking his first WORCS Pro 2 Championship.
“I’ve worked really hard this year to win the Championship,” said Seeds. “I used to come to the races without training and try to win on skill and luck, but you can’t win that way. This year I started training regularly in the gym and on the bike and it paid off.”
Seeds took the title with consistency, earning 206 points via 3 wins and 3 podiums in the 10 race series. His closest rival was Corey Gruffunder with 159/2 wins just ahead of Travis Coy with 142. All three riders plan on returning next season to try for the title again.
“I’d like to win the WORCS Pro 2 Championship again next year and then move up and go against the big boys,” said Seeds.
