Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Taylor Robert and FMF/KTM’s Mike Brown pulled out all the stops and battled each other for two races to complete the final round of the WORCS Series. Robert got the overall victory with a 2-1 performance, besting Brown who took second overall with a 1-2 finish for the weekend. Third place fell to Justin Soule with a 3-3 for the final podium slot.

In the 1st race all eyes were on FMF/KTM’s Kurt Caselli who pretty much simple had to finish clinching his third WORCS Championship and second major title of the year (Caselli also won the H&H Championship this season). Caselli, gated well, settled into fifth and smartly stayed there, allowing Brown and Robert to have their battle.

By the end of race #1 Kurt had the WORCS Championship in the bag. With bonuses on the line for 2nd and 3rd in the points, Caselli, ever the gentleman, rode to fifth again on Sunday allowing his friends and competitors to fight it out in front of him.

Caselli won the 2011 WORCS Championship with room to spare with teammate Mike Brown finishing second in the points and Taylor Robert taking third in the chase just a few points ahead of top privateer Bobby Garrison.

Destry Abbott took the holeshot in race #2 and ended up battling Caselli over the fifth spot. He took a hard-fought sixth and announced his retirement from full-time off-road racing. Destry got a standing ovation from his friends and fans at the WORCS awards for his years of sportsmanship and professionalism.

This is a record setting third WORCS Championship for Caselli, the most titles in WORCS Pro history! Congratulations Kurt!
